How Nordbelt appeared in Men’s Health
How did Nordbelt get into Men’s Health? On 11 May 2026, the editors requested a product for the Editor’s Pick section. We provided it, and the editorial team arranged the photography. After receipt was confirmed in June and the page was sent to us in September, the feature appeared on 5 October, in issue 9 on page 84. Here are the documented steps between those moments.
May: an invitation from the editors
The first contact about this feature came on 11 May 2026. The editors asked for a sample for Editor’s Pick and explained that they would photograph it themselves. That began the journey towards a magazine page: the product first had to reach the editorial team before it could be photographed.
On 12 May, the arrangement for the feature was confirmed. There was no placement fee, and the product we supplied would remain with the editorial team. Those two facts belong together. We did not pay for the placement, but we did provide a product. That was the relationship within which this feature took shape.
On 19 May, we reported that the product had been dispatched. That shipping message records a step in the process. It does not establish the day the parcel actually arrived, so we do not include an exact delivery date in the timeline.
June: receipt and editorial photography
On 16 June, the editors confirmed receipt. The same message said that the photography had taken place the previous week. We can therefore identify the period, but not an exact photography date.
The magazine photograph was arranged by the editorial team. The product images on this blog page come from our own image library and do not show that photo session. The original magazine page credits Fiby Delsen for photography. This distinguishes the origin of the printed image from the origin of our own product photographs.
September and October: from PDF to magazine
On 17 September, we received the original page as a PDF. On the same day, 5 October was confirmed as the publication date. Receiving the page and the magazine’s publication were therefore two separate moments.
The page appeared in issue 9, on page 84, in Lifestyle / Editor’s Pick. Translated into English, the Dutch headline reads ‘Secure, click, curl’. The credits name Annemiek de Gier for the text and Fiby Delsen for photography. The original page presents the product photograph, layout and credits together, so the PDF also lets you examine that context yourself.

You can open the original Dutch magazine page as a PDF. Our earlier article about the Editor’s Pick feature explains the section and the published page in more detail.
Nordbelt is the product at the centre of this story: it provides fixation for both ankles during Nordic curls. If you would like to see the tool the editors received, you can view the strap and its application. The magazine feature documents an editorial story; it does not prove a training outcome.

Our own product photograph of an attachment detail; this is not a photograph from the Men’s Health photo session or a complete set of usage instructions.
Keeping the story and the exercise separate
The timeline shows how a product moved from an editorial request to a printed page. An invitation, a supplied product, a photograph and a publication together answer that historical question. They do not constitute comparative research into effectiveness or results.
If you want to understand the exercise, read the introduction to the Nordic hamstring curl. For the role of hand assistance, see the guide to Nordic curls with hand support. These are separate training questions. The magazine feature does not replace an appropriate setup or instructions for performing the exercise.
